Food Preservation Workshop: Refrigerator Pickles
Looking for something fun to do this fall? Learn how to safety make refrigerator pickles and explore the science behind preserving foods with vinegar.
Join Hood River County 4-H for a series of hands-on food preservation workshops for youth ages 9-18. Participants will make refrigerator pickles, freezer jam, fruit leather, and apple and kale chips while learning the science and food safety skills behind preserving food.
You do not need to be a 4-H member to participate, and you're welcome to sign up for one class or all four.
Location: OSU Extension Office, 2990 Experiment Station Drive, Hood River, OR 97031
Cost: $5 per class, financial assistance available
