Gorge Families Unplugged
Calling all parents of elementary and middle schoolers! We're gathering to commit to delaying smartphones and social media—together! This is for any parent, no matter if you've already given your child a phone or social media or not.
The idea is simple: to connect like-minded parents who are navigating similar choices and challenges, and to create a space for conversation, questions, and mutual support. Whether you're just beginning to think about this, or you’ve already put some boundaries in place, this will be a welcoming space to share what's working, what's hard, and where we could use some encouragement.
We’re grateful to have Rolland Hayden, principal of Hood River Middle School, joining us to share his perspective on how device use is impacting students and school culture at the middle school level. We’ll also hear from Joe Giordano and Ryan Walsh, parents of high schoolers, who will offer insights and reflections from their own journeys.
After that, there will be plenty of time for open, roundtable discussion, a chance for all of us to share, ask questions, and support one another.
No need to RSVP — just come as you are. Hope to see you there!
